Long story: My husband and I were looking to do a casual photoshoot in Charleston for our upcoming wedding, but we wanted to include our dog. The tricky part is that our dog does not like other dogs, so this was not an easy venture by any stretch. Garrett accepted the challenge with no hesitation whatsoever, and set to work. He started by sending out a detailed questionnaire in which he asked thoughtful questions about any places that held special meaning for us, what we did not want in a photoshoot, and what kind of vibe we were aiming for with the photographs. After that, he scanned Charleston for suitable locations and he was very careful to ensure that the ones he selected were relatively isolated spots with no/less dogs. We discovered later that he actually arrived to our first location an hour and half before us to figure out a route and to make sure there weren’t too many people or dogs! This was really above and beyond, and we were touched.

The photoshoot itself was an absolute joy! Garrett had figured out a ‘photo itinerary’ carefully to include the kinds of shots we liked, and it was super fun. He made all 3 of us feel at ease and extremely comfortable. We wanted mostly candid and movement shots, and he really paid attention to that ask. Garrett even held our dog for us when my husband and I wanted couple photos. His map of the first location was also perfectly timed, so that we could make it to the second location for sunset. The second location was the most perfect for our dog, as it was completely isolated and everything we wanted from our photoshoot! We honestly had a blast taking photos, and were so happy that Garrett had delivered on everything we ever wanted from this shoot. We went home absolutely delighted with the evening with Garrett.

Little did we know, that was not the end of our delight. A week later Garrett sent us all the photos, perfectly edited, and we were speechless. They are beyond anything we had ever imagined, and we cannot wait to use these for our wedding and frame them all over our house! We agreed that we had never looked better in photos, and are extremely impressed with Garrett’s talent.
